Ângela holds herself while Eurico keeps sewing her cape together.
Eurico: So, aside that cruel man you have for a roommate, do you know anyone here in Coimbra?

Ângela takes the bloody cloth to her nose again, and looks at Eurico.
Ângela (thinking): That's not how it is.
Eurico (thinking): Do not lie to me.

Eurico looks at Ângela, his face partially shadowed.

Ângela looks at her cup of tea.
Ângela: I don't.

Eurico finishes sewing four big stiches. He looks in Ângela's direction.

Eurico looks into the distance, pensative.
