The first sustained nuclear reaction would have happened near the center of North America’s largest city, except that the five buroughs, formerly cities, of New York merged into a single mega city so that Chicago wouldn’t be the largest.
This sounds like something that can fuck up the planet (and probably more) in ways that makes total nuclear war a harmless joke in comparison. I hope their physicists actually know what they are doing.
So what the ancients did to get powers slowly propagated across the stars, and after a century or two it got to our aliens ?
